All appointment requests are managed by clinicians, who will take a history and allocate you an appointment within the correct time frame. To speak to a clinician and arrange an appointment, please call 01367 242388
Our receptionists may well ask for the reason you wish to make an appointment so that the GP has an understanding of the nature of the problem before they call but you do not have to give this information if you would prefer not to.
We have staff who are trained as chaperones, so please ask when making an appointment if you would like to make use of this service.
The surgery is open every week-day apart from bank holidays. We try to offer you an appointment with your doctor at a time which is convenient for you, although this is obviously difficult to achieve for everyone. In a medical emergency we will always arrange for you to see a doctor on that day.
You can choose which doctor you see. Please let the clinician know if you want to see a female doctor. Once you have started seeing a doctor for a particular problem, we recommend that you continue to see the same doctor wherever possible for that problem, so that we can offer you continuity of care.
If you have a rash or may be infectious, please let the receptionist know and she will arrange for you to wait in a separate room.
We offer telephone consultations in our surgeries. I f you think that your health problems can be helped by speaking to a specific the doctor on the phone rather than attending the surgery in person, then you can book a routine telephone appointment.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
You can now book telephone assessment appointments online. You can access this facility by clicking on the icon below:
