How Do I Book An Appointment?
- Online (via Engage Consult) - If you would like to make an appointment to talk to one of our GPs, please use our Engage Consult service where your request will be triaged by one of our healthcare professionals and will aim to respond on the same day as your request (before 16:00). You will need to register to use this service by signing up via Engage Consult.
- On the phone - If you need to make an appointment that does not require you to see a GP, such as Nurses/HCA appointments, please contact our Patient Services team.
We try to offer you an appointment at a time which is convenient for you, although this is obviously difficult to achieve for everyone. In a medical emergency, a healthcare professional will speak with you on an urgent basis.
You can choose which doctor you see. Once you have started seeing a doctor for a particular problem, we recommend that you continue to see that same doctor wherever possible for that problem, so that we can offer you continuity of care.
If you have a rash or may be infectious, please let us know and we will arrange for you to wait in a separate room.
Cancel an Appointment
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your appointment by contacting us as soon as possible so that it can be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters may be removed from the patient list.
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the practice, we appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by contacting us via telephone before 10:00.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable us to schedule home visits with a healthcare professional from our practice or from an Oxfordshire wide visiting service.
